I’m not sure I have any views on mainstream music. Some of it is terrible. Some of it is great. But that’s true of all music.
In general my taste in my music is not the kind of stuff that’s going to get played on Radio 1. In fact at university I was banned from touching the music that played during pre-drinks as my judgement wasn’t trusted at all. But I love Taylor Swift (although that’s more the person than the songs), I’ve only just discovered what I’ve been missing out on by thinking I’m too cool for Ed Sheeran and songs by Calvin Harris and David Guetta et al might not be my cup of tea for every day listening but they remind me of great nights out with great friends so I can still appreciate them in that way.
And really, does anyone have that strong a view on mainstream music? It’s just music. There are more important things to get worked up about.

So I was sitting here thinking, “What am I supposed to say about mainstream music?” Then I see your post and figure you would have some view I didn’t, only you agree with me. Meh…

Yeah it’s a really tricky one. Tomorrow’s is a bit more interesting (I think. I haven’t tried writing it yet so maybe not!)
